Coasters for Fresh Quilts Magazine

Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my last post. It means more to me than you know!

I’m getting ready to hit the road for vacation, but wanted to share a quick post on a project I sewed for a magazine. I shared a sneak peek of the issue on Instagram last week.

Coasters for Fresh Quilts Mag

These little coasters were stitched up for the Fall/Winter 2014 issue of Fresh Quilts. If you are looking for a quick gift that you can make from charm squares or scraps, this project comes together quickly and adds lots of “cute” to your space.

My favorite part about these coasters is that I didn’t think too much about the quilting lines or try to make them perfect. I love how the slightly irregular centers contrast with the perfectly cut colored circles. In fact, I think I may whip up some more to go with our new baby-friendly coffee table!

I haven’t seen the issue yet, but it’s on newsstands right now. Also, my friend Jayne made the cover with her pillows (bottom right corner).

Have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be back soon to share more about the project I stitched up for Ann Kelle.
