Modern Bee: The Book!

Last week, my production coordinator at C&T told me I’d be getting an advanced copy of my book in the mail either Monday or Tuesday. Really?! Was it already time? The book releases in September and Amazon will start shipping Modern Bee by October.

I checked the mail.

All day.

And again.

I didn’t see anything in the mail until I left to a friend’s house that night to watch The Bachelorette finale. Lo and behold, there was a FedEx mailer sitting by our back door! I grabbed it up and hopped in the car to Stacy’s so I could rip it open. There was my book!

So . . . this is me last night.

Imagine my surprise when today’s mail just gets even better! I got a knock-knock on the door just after lunch.

I don’t even have words to describe it. But like the card says, I know these are my friends. These wonderful, creative people believed in me and my little idea enough to bring it to life! And in such a perfect way.

This card that came with the book summed it all up for me. I am so thankful that I got the chance to visit C&T in May and have lunch with Michele, Alice, Kristy, Gailen and Amy . . . the incredible ladies on my book team!

Pinch me. This is a book! I am so proud of the work that went into this book. I can’t say enough “thank yous” to the 11 other quilters I was so lucky to work with! They were crazy enough to come along with me on this ride, and I’m so grateful for them.
