What I’ve Been Sewing + Winner!

You guys… I am seriously melting over here at all of your sweet comments about my big news.

In particular, I really enjoyed getting to know a few of you more and your quilting and bee backgrounds. I look forward to hearing more of your stories and getting to know each other better!

Velocity Girl Bag w/ Octopurse

Those of you who follow me on Instagram or my other blog Craft Buds might have my new everyday purse. The purse pattern is the Velocity Girl Bag and the fabric is Ruby Star Shining by Melody Miller. It even matches my Octopurse clutch that I won in a giveaway this winter. Love!

Next up, I’ve been sewing a dress. This is The Staple Dress pattern by April Rhodes, and I heard about it from Rachael and decided I had to make one for myself! I bought the fabric to make either two or three versions, so here’s just a sneak peek of the shirring (my first time) with elastic thread. If you make one, you can link up here by April 8th to join in a sew along. 🙂

March Blocks: Imagine dGS

I whipped up a couple bee blocks for the Imagine Circle of do Good Stitches. Amanda asked for Feather blocks using this free Anna Maria Horner block pattern. Although I was having some problem with tension on my sewing machine, and had to rip apart several sections, I managed to get it together and finish two blocks!

Finally, I made a simple bunting for my craft room. It was looking a little dull in there! The easy bunting tutorial is over at Craft Buds.

I think it’s time for a winner!

Out of 501 comments (wow!), the winner of the Textures fabric bundle is #45, Lisa Yarost. Yay Lisa!

Lisa, I don’t have your e-mail address, so please e-mail me at lindsay.conner(at)gmail(dot)com by 4/6 to claim your prize!

Second winner chosen: #178, Elaine!
