Fabric Stashing and a Tutorial

Happy Monday to you! This weekend, Matt and I tried to explore all things Nashville, including Record Store Day and a fun Earth Day festival. We also met some new local friends, and I skipped a really great concert to stay home and blog (fail). 🙂

Today was a happy mail day! Check out this sweet gift I won from Angela Yosten for a recent giveaway on her blog. She included some of her new fabric and some of her favorite things, like these wonderful crystal finger press and point turner tools. Can’t wait to try them!

Flats Goodies from Angela

This is the Flats collection by Angela Yosten for Moda. It includes these really cute panels that you can cut out and use to make fabric dolls. 🙂 I’m most excited about this one!

Stitch and Flip Tutorial

In other news, I wrote a little Stitch and Flip quilting tutorial over at the Craftsy blog. You’ve probably used the stitch and flip technique and haven’t even realized it (like when you make a string block or flying geese unit). This is the beginnings of a little potholder I made with thermal batting.

But for now, I have one W.I.P. to tackle, which is my February do Good Stitches quilt!

Are you working on anything fun this week?
