Pretty fabric things from CHA Summer 2011 show in Chicago

I’ll spare you my super-long recap of CHA 2011 in Chicago. (That’s the Craft and Hobby Association trade show.) If interested in some of the fun new crafting products that are coming out, feel free to peruse my longer recap over here.

And now, for some fabric love.

Fabric flowers and applique

Pretty fabric flowers and applique at the Silhouette booth. Love these fabrics together!

My tote bag, made in minutes with the Silhouette

While at the Silhouette booth, I got to make this super fun tote bag (using heat transfer material) to take home with me!

Easy fabric flower maker

See that little purple cardstock template in the upper-right corner of this photo? That’s how the demonstrator made these fabric blooms. Pretty!

More flower tools from Clover. These are called Kanzashi flowers.

I heart Cricut Magazine . . .
. . . and Paper Crafts Magazine! This is me at their booth.

Mary and I attended the trade show on the first day, Tuesday. Thankfully, we live within decent driving distance to Chicago, and we were granted some press passes from the nice people at CHA.

Overall, I was pretty overwhelmed by the massive structures required to set up for a 3-day event. I mean, these companies were basically moving in, with bookcases, stages, mini “houses,” lounges, huge hanging displays and lots more, all to showcase their latest and greatest products.

Cute booth design

The trade show happens twice a year, and this was the smaller of the two shows. Still, Martha was kind enough to show up.
