A new toy, a new bee, and some crafty links

This week was awesome! First, I got an e-mail saying I’m going to be reviewing this, along with 3 dies of my choice! Could I be more excited? I’ll be hosting a giveaway on Craft Buds first, then here. Mary is also going to be hosting on her blog, so that’s three chances to win a fabric cutter coming up!

The same day, I was scrolling through Google Reader like normal realized that my reusable sandwich bags tutorial had been picked up by Craftzine. This led to the single-highest day of traffic since Mary and I lauched the Craft Buds in March. It has been so awesome to see the response to our tutorials and to read all the comments. This sewing and crafting community is really the greatest. Aww shucks. 🙂
Very excited about this bee as well . . . I’ve joined!

Gen X Quilters

Swap blocks with 5 people, 4 times a year. This, I can handle. Also, my local quilt guild is participating in the Jay McCarroll Habitat challenge. Should be fun to play with some new fabric and come up with an original quilt block design.

I’ll be back this weekend with my bottled rainbows progress. So close!
