Stylish Blogs I Like to Follow

Mary at Bugglebee recently tagged me with the Stylish Blogger award. I am actually privileged to know Mary in both the real world and as a craft blogger. (And as many of you know, Mary’s the one behind some very cute tutorials at our shared blog, Craft Buds!)

One of the reasons I find Mary’s blog so great is that she’s a graphic designer, so her tutorials are super easy to follow and also very thorough! Check out her upcylced hoodie into cowl neck sweatshirt.

The rules for accepting the Stylish Blogger Award are:

  1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you the award.
  2. Share Seven things about yourself.
  3. Award 6 recently discovered great bloggers.
  4. Contact the bloggers and tell them about the award.
Here are seven quick things about me . . .
  1. I was raised a dog person, but recently became a cat person. No complaints here, because my cat actually fetches a ball.
  2. I’ve been married for almost 5 years to my husband Matt, who is a music blogger and pastor among other things.
  3. I love to travel, and my top three vacations were to Ireland, Alaska and London.
  4. Never watched TV shows much, until I started working in a cubicle. Now, it’s a primetime necessity! Favorite shows is The Bachelor, and here’s where I blog about that.
  5. I don’t read fiction books, and I never watch fantasy movies like Lord of The Rings. Can’t do it. Give me a how-to book or a documentary any day.
  6. My house was built in 1898.
  7. I thank you for reading this list.
Phew! That was tough. Now on to the fun part! Here are 6 blogs that I follow and enjoy. Since you probably know about all of the great sewing blogs out there, I’m going to mix it up with some general crafting, cooking and DIY blogs!

Paper Crafts
In addition to sewing, I also love paper crafting. Though this blog already has a huge following, I’ve got to tip my hat to Paper Crafts for having the most fun and interactive blog by any craft publisher out there. I literally get so excited when I see a new update or post on Paper Crafts, because I know it’s going to be great.
If you follow PC through their blog or Facebook, you know that they do a really great job of engaging their 25,000+ follower audience with near-daily giveaways and personable posts. They are also completely transparent with their submission-review process, and give a sneak peek into how they choose the cards to feature in the print magazine. Brilliant!
Stitched in Color

Stitched in Color is a great quilting blog that most of you probably already know. I recently joined Rachel’s Bottled Rainbows quilt-along, and I enjoy her posts, photos and tutorials! I think she’ll be a great craft book author someday.

Blackberry Jam

Caitlin at Blackberry Jam blogs some of the most delicious-looking “food crafts” that I’ve ever seen! I mean, wow. I heard about Caitlin’s blog because I’m friends with her brother, and I’m so glad to be “in the know.” Watch out, Pioneer Woman.

How About Orange
How About Orange is a fun sewing and crafty blog I follow, with a cute bunting project this week you might have seen on Craft!
Thrifty Decorating

I just discovered this blogger, when she guest posted on Craft-o-Maniac. Thrifty Decorating is chock full of great ideas, like this rustic basket made out of paint stir sticks.

Come Together Kids

Another recent blog find is Come Together Kids, which I discovered just over a week ago. Laura posts a lot of cute and innovative ideas, like this cherry blossom tree made from fabric and hand prints on canvas.
