Kona solids quilt top finished and a crafty tour of D.C.

Finished my Kona charm pack quilt top! Among all of the possibilities, I stuck with the diamonds layout here, mostly to get it in one solid sheet and off the dining room floor.

What is your favorite quilting style lately? Free motion, straight lines, hand stitching? I’m taking suggestions!

I also wanted to show off some of the cute crafty stores I visited last month in Alexandria, Virginia. The first is Fibre Space. My husband liked the name, and I like the “shop dog” who wandered around.

The other was Paper Source, a scrapbooking and wedding stationery store that literally went on and on. I didn’t buy anything here, but oddly enough, my husband did?

Too bad I didn’t stumble into an awesome quilt shop, but these were pretty special!

D.C. is fun with friends! (Jonah, Sara, me, Matt, Abe.)
